Lipstick by Still - 'Sweet Honeysuckle' #236

It's more than just a beauty-post, it's a guide on how to survive the whole month without eye make-up. That's what I have to deal with after my eye surgery. All my worries flew away at the moment I saw that stunning picture: wine lips and absolutely pure eyes! The hardest thing was to find exactly the same shade without spending a lot of money on MAC or YSL. Every more or less affordable beauty store has everything but this kind of shades. The search took few weeks before I happily came across this €2 lipstick with perfect smell, texture and, what's more important, shade - bingo! Now I need to pluck up my courage to take a picture and share with you my new make-up. To tell you the truth, I still can't get used to it :)

Это не просто бьюти-пост, а практически  инструкция по выживанию после лазерной коррекции зрения, когда приходится забыть о макияже глаз на целый месяц! (и привыкнуть к тому, что добрая половина знакомых вас не узнают при встрече :) )

Все мои волнения по этому поводу были развеяны еще до операции этой поразительной фотографией: винная помада и ничего-абсолютно ничего на глазах!

Поиски темной помады (бюджетной, а не MAC или YSL) - настоящий квест, их просто нет в продаже нигде! И только в самом дешевом безымянном косметическом отделе мне удалось ее отыскать. Всё удовольствие - 80 руб., эффект - потрясающий. И запах, и текстура, и ощущение на губах меня поразили в хорошем смысле. Осталось только решиться сделать и опубликовать фото нового макияжа. Я, если честно, и сама не до конца к нему привыкла :)

Let's be honest: hairdryers won't make your hair healthier and shinier.
My experience of blow-drying is rather deplorable:
the hair and scalp particularly are suffering so badly,
so I dry it in a natural way only.
But. There's a huge BUT - waiting for four hours
till the hair is completely dry is quite challenging sometimes
So you must understand my excitement of getting this ubersmart Philips hairdryer -
it protects hair from overheating thanks to special sensor.
How cool is that?
I guess from now on I'll put the hairdryer in use much more often :)

Я, наверное, не открою Америку, сказав, что фен не самая полезная штука для волос.

У меня все отношения с ним заканчиваются раздраженной пересушенной кожей,

отчего я давным давно перестала им пользоваться.

Чувствительная кожа головы мне за это, конечно, благодарна,

но вот четырехчасовое ожидание полного испарения влаги иногда не вариант.

К счастью для меня, Philips изобрели "умный" фен -
он сам регулирует температуру воздуха

и защищает волосы и кожу головы от перегрева. Круто, да?

Для тех, кто, как и я, ценит здоровье своих волос, это идеальный вариант!

Но и о существовании термозащитных спреев всё же забывать не стоит ;)

Не сразу привыкаешь к этой "шершавости",

I've always loved the mistery and modesty of dark manicure
but I didn't dare to try it on my own because of its gloominess I guess.
Now being inspired by cosmic manicure I'v seen here and there
I ventured to buy wanted for a while deep blue nail polish, which looks almost black.
The one I bought has a slight emerald glitter that I really love.
I've finished my nails with Dance Legend Icy Top.
It was meant to cover some dark lacquer, huh?

Я долго не решалась на покупку темного лака, очевидно из-за его мрачности,
но меня всегдя привлекала некая сдержанность в темном маникюре.
Наконец, любопытство и охота поэкспериментировать взяли верх.
Я очень хотела темно-темно-синий, почти черный, лак и нашла такой у марки Rio
(я очень часто покупаю эти лаки - за смешные 30 руб. качество у них неплохое).
Он с еле заметным изумрудным глиттером, этим мне и понравился.
"Вишенкой на торте" стало покрытие Dance Legend Icy Top.
По-моему, получился просто космос! Как Вам?

Beauty // Caviar nails

I've seen caviar manicure every here and there since forever

and become so curious to make it on my own
So here comes my first attempt.
It turned out to be very easy and looks super stunning in real life!
Though this way of doing the nails is not the most practical and usable,
the top coat makes it way more stable.
If you haven't seen the tutorial yet, you may check it out here
And I would advice you to buy the micro beads in DIY store rather than in nails shops
They are thousand times cheaper there and look exactly the same :)

Моя первая попытка сделать икорный маникюр.
Он оказался очень простым в исполнении и главное очень эффектным
(жаль не получилось передать на фото, как "икринки" переливаются на свету).
Микробисер лучше покупать в магазинах для рукоделия,
там он в разы дешевле, чем в специализированных маникюрных магазинах,

и выбор был побольше.
Технику нанесения можно подсмотреть здесь
Такой маникюр держится довольно неплохо, если его покрыть топом,
но всё же практичным его назвать сложно.

Meet my new beauty toys for nails.

The first one is cracked nail polish from Gosh, that looks ubercool

when painted over gold Sally Hansen polish!

And the second one is Dance Legend Icy Top for making crazy chaotic patterns.

I've noticed that lacquers with such "corpuscles" have specific 90's smell, haha.

This is the smell from my childhood, really!

Both these products are so much fun to work with! Which one do you like most?

Я в восторге от того, как черный лак трескается на золотом фоне.

Это именно то сочетание, которое позволяет крэк-лаку не выглядеть на ногтях глупо.
Я пробовала другие варианты и лучше, чем этот, еще не нашла.

А снежный хаос от Dance Legend - просто находка, есть где развернуться фантазии.

И я никак не могла обойти стороной тот факт, что пахнет он 90-ми.

Я серьезно, запах из детства :) Так пахнут только лаки с добавлением мелких "конфетти".
Видимо, я часто ими баловалась, когда была маленькая :D

В общем, обоими продуктами я очень довольна. Какой из них Вам больше понравился?

Hard times have come for my hair. Its freakin' electrified and not easy to style.

Ugh, thanks winter.

Since I really care about my hair conditions I've made a tough decision

to use flat and curling irons not so often as I usually do (i.e. every damn day).

In addition to that I believe hiding it under the coat

from extremely low temperatures makes sense.

I tend to think that my hair is in desperate need of nourishing mask

So any tips on low-budget hair care are welcomed :)

Наступило не самое лучшее время для волос, это я о зиме.

Они электризуется, не хотят укладываться,

в общем, не вызывают никаких положительных эмоций.

Так как состояние моих волос - это не последнее дело,

я решила немного пожертвовать красотой и позаботиться об их здоровье.

Теперь я не делаю горячую укладку каждый день, как это происходило

на протяжении нескольких лет, и прячу их под куртку/пальто, когда на улице -20.

По-моему, сейчас самое время побаловать волосы питательными масками.

Если Вы можете посоветовать недорогие и эффективные средства, буду очень рада :)

Beauty // Hair tips & curls tutorial

Hey gals!

Since my hair got too much compliments lately (I' m so pleased, thank you all!), I think it's time to share with you some tips and tutorial of making my lovely curls. Hope this will be a little bit helpful :)

Hair care tips:

▷ I never use a hairdryer

▷ I never brush my hair

Maybe it's awkward a lil, I'm used to it though. Don't want to cause extra damage (my hair stylers are the only evil)

I use:
▷ 'Natura Siberica' shampoo / I prefer natural ingridients. This kind of shampoos foam quite bad, but all we need is sound hair care, right?
▷ 'Taft' heat protection spray / Obviously must-have, still haven't found a perfect one.
▷ 'Taft' hair spray
▷ Rowenta Elite Model Look curler

The styling is pretty simple, see for yourself :)
